Leake Andersson maintains a strong commitment to its home communities. All of our attorneys, including partners, volunteer at least 10 hours per year on Pro Bono assignments. We work closely with the New Orleans Pro Bono Project to provide free legal services in various areas, including wills, successions, contractor disputes, evictions, and adoptions. Leake attorneys volunteer to serve as the Pro Bono Project “Lawyer of the Day” working at the New Orleans Pro Bono Project screening new clients and evaluating current cases. Leake attorneys also regularly participate in Pro Bono projects spearheaded by Judge Jay Zainey of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, including the H.E.L.P. (Homeless Experience Legal Protection) program.

The Firm proudly received the New Orleans Pro Bono Project’s Distinguished Service Award, and a number of our attorneys are recognized for contributing more than 50 hours in a year of Pro Bono work.
