Courtney Troxclair was born and raised in Thibodaux, Louisiana and is an Associate at Leake Andersson in the firm’s New Orleans office. Courtney is a general litigation attorney whose primary practice areas include casualty, premise liability, transportation, and trucking litigation.

Courtney graduated from Nicholls State University in 2018 with a B.A. in Psychology with minors in Addictive Behaviors, Social Sciences, and Family and Consumer Sciences. She received her Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2021. Thereafter, she was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in October 2021.

During her time in law school, Courtney served as the President of Women in Law Student Association. She was also selected to be a student clinician in the Immigration Law Clinic where she was assigned cases representing non-citizens in their defensive proceedings before the Executive Office of Immigration Review and affirmative applications with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Courtney also completed an externship with the East Baton Rouge District Attorney’s Office.

Before joining Leake, Courtney represented insureds, businesses, and insurance companies in general defense litigation with a focus on personal injury defense, insurance fraud, and property and casualty insurance defense.

Now that she is a full-time resident of New Orleans, Courtney enjoys exploring the city, trying new restaurants, and running in her free time.
